OK, it's possible to get to this station if you're heading south. But we maintain that coming north out of the Financial District, you must portage along the Park Row plaza. Or risk slamming into a performance artist. Or Brooklyn Bridge-bound vehicles. Or maybe even worse.

Nearest bike lanes

Northbound: Centre St
Eastbound: Brooklyn Bridge (don't do it!)
Westbound: Reade St
Southbound: East River bike lane

Amenities

Bench:  Next to station
Cafe: Starbucks 2 blocks south on Park Row
WiFi: See Cafe
Subway:  You're surrounded. Transit Museum sez best station ever built lies unused beneath your feet. Yes, you can see City Hall from here.

Just sharing...

You can take the bike lane across the Brooklyn Bridge if running the rapids, rippled with protoplasmic boulders, is your thing.

Centre St & Worth St                    Civic Center

We learned a lesson as we sat on a nearby bench and watched two skateboarders kick the front tire of every bike to see if they could find one that wasn't securely docked. They looked like they knew what they were doing.

Nearest bike lanes

Northbound:  Lafayette St.
Eastbound:  None but Worth St. isn't bad
Westbound: Reade St.
Southbound: Centre St. (but really, really avoid City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge)

Amenities

Bench:  Right there.
Cafe:  Starbucks one block west on Worth St
WiFi: Dunno
Subway:  4,5,6 at City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge
