We were passing by the Broad & Bridge station on Monday when we spotted a couple of Sharers unsuccessfully trying to unlock a bike. Then another, and a third. We used our key on the fourth and remaining cycle. Same result.
They trudged off into the rain and so did we, to the State St station, where...Yikes! We keyed 11 of the 12 of the bikes available (No. 12 had a red light, so we guess the station was getting current.) All deader than a Fulton fish.
We suspect the damp, but we'll try another test in today's dry, cold. air.
Hey, speaking of, does anybody else suspect that some stall locks jam on subfreezing days, refusing to accept returning bikes? Let us know.
