search: yellow day |
At 10:30 am Wednesday, 18% of the 323 operating stations were empty or filled. . That’s a 58 in the NotSpot℠ Index, 5 points shy of the record 63. That's what Hudson Yards smells like.
The day came in with a NotSpot 43,almost as high in the Yellow Zone as a day can go.
- We are happy to report that for the first time in memory, no station on the Lower East Side was NotSpotted this morning.
- Filled stations continue to spike high. Numbers were in double digits for two hours today and until this week we hadn’t seen any DDs.

The King of All NotSpots
The King tied St. Edward to a skinny millionaire and cavorted with Myrtle on the avenue for nine hours.
Gaynor Award update
State St, a 59-dock megastation with a view of the Statue of Liberty, lost its chance at further fame when it filled up for two hours. Now 37 contenders for the Gaynor.
Available bicycle count
When filled stations spiked to 10 at 11:30 am. the count was at it’s highest of the week, 4899.
We find it fascinating that after a certain point, putting more bikes into the docks doesn’t solve the empty station problem but creates a whole new issue.
